Lunar Eclipse

Hi this blog is very neglected im surprised the NSPCB(national society for the proctection of child bogs) hasn't arrived on my doorstep! Well back at the ranch as one of my great german teachers used to say, today i decided i'd post something about the beautiful lunar eclipse yesterday. And for those of you who stayed up to watch the best show you'll ever see direct from your window, (best things in life are free) it truly was spectacular especially if you had a decent pair of binoculars (like me!) or a telescope. Because with the naked eye you cudnt see that much.

Anyway i posted some pictures, although you can't see very much, it jus looks like a light, but i assure you the images in my mind will stay with me forever. Ahh that deep red colour was excellent! Anyway the pictures just show an outline really. The first shot is of the moon at dusk, where its really big and low in the sky, it almost looks like the sun.
Again i apolagise for the poor quality of the photos, some of the middle ones where taken by pointing my camera through the binoculars but it was tricky to hold them both together and steadyliy (did i just make up a word there!?) yeh so anyway there just to give an idea to those who misd it.

hey ash!

did you really take those photos yourself? they're so cool! as a camera enthusiast (who is still very amateur i have to admit) i realise how hard it is to take night shots and even just keeping the exposure time long enough to get something like that. awesome stuff you got here!

and also, thanks so much for your kind words. appreciate the comment and i was just saying to my other friend how there are so many interesting young people out there with so much to say... makes me feel old. (though i'm only 19, but comparatively, you know.)

like you, i feel very strongly about global warming too. which is why constant cloudcover is so important. down here in australia - where the 'O' in ozone is really big - we really feel the UV because of the lack of clouds and it's quite scary how we are in drought at the moment too. stupid el nino...

anyway, pleasure to cyber meet you. =)

First of all, I have to say the National Society for the Protection of Child Bogs sounds like a group begging for my membership! And "back at the ranch" — you have a better memory than me; Turner was quite a character, although he did have a few neuroses too many.

I didn't hear anything about this eclipse — I know it is a more visual thing but still — although those are some pretty good photos you took Ash.

By the way, I think your music may be putting many potential visitors off. Its not a bad song — although everyone has different tastes — but I find myself stumbling for the Escape key whenever I enter your blog as I usually have my own music playing — and the randomness of it all usually means that it's not even a good mix! Just a bit of constructive criticism, but its good to see you're keeping this blog up. Have fun Ash. Talk to you soon. Ciao!

Hope you get motivated to write more frequently by all your visitors. Nice pics, and thank you, because I missed it, and I was sorry for that.
Thanks for stopping by at my blog. I have included you in my route, right next to james, as I promised. Young people are not totally lost, after all. jajaja.

hi Ash, thanx for your comments on my blog...yep I'm still here and still going strong!! I like your 'insight to a scientific mind', very interesting and by the way did you see channel 4 tonight? It was all about how we are all being conned into thinking that global warming is our fault. I think you would have enjoyed it if you like all the science stuff, I love any thing that causes us to question what we're being told. Anyway, keep well and have your friends' mum look at my blog, maybe it will help. All the best, Sharon.[beastcancerdiary]
